Day 5  :   Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak Down to Mweka Camp.

Summit day dawns early, and you'll begin your ascent in the pre-dawn darkness. The climbing journey to Uhuru Peak at 5895 meters (19,343 feet) is both physically and mentally demanding. Guided by headlamps, you'll navigate through the steep scree and challenging terrain, pushing your limits step by step. As the sun begins to rise, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, you'll be filled with a sense of awe and accomplishment. Standing at the summit of Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa, you'll relish the breathtaking view of the Great Rift Valley below. After taking in the awe-inspiring scenery and capturing the moment in photographs, you'll descend back to Barafu Camp. From there, you'll continue your descent to Mweka Camp at 3100 meters (10,170 feet), located below the tree line. This descent allows your body to readjust to lower altitudes, reducing the risk of altitude-related issues.
